My completely abstract works are an exploration of feeling and emotion. A method of painting that asks for no hesitation and no over thinking. It’s about deconstructing what’s in front of us. It’s about simplifying things and breaking them down to their bare, vulnerable bones. Working in the realm of pure abstract is highly meditative and freeing, something I find I must always come back to in my practice. For me, in my practice, being in the moment and feeling the real emotion is integral in creating an honest work of art. It is necessary to stay true to one’s work and in the liberating process of complete abstract painting I find myself over and over again.
